Thesis 2 Module 11
Steps for this Module
In this module, you will continue to refine the second deliverable you designated to work on this semester. If you conducted user testing before this module, integrate the results into your refinements. This is the last module in which you can conduct user testing, so if you have not yet started, you should plan to conduct your sessions during this module. You are required to post the results of your user testing by the end of Module 12, and this is a thesis milestone.
REFLECTION: Describe your design process with the second deliverable this module.
For the second deliverable, I made several changes:
1. I increased the font size of the headers on each of my screens
2. I changed the yellow background a bit by overlaying the same patterns over-top and using a blend mode
3. I fixed my InVision link, and filmed my co-worker using the app on her phone so that I was able to see that the sizing of my document would render correctly when it was on a mobile device.
4. I had another co-worker create a gif of the rocket for the loading page (I do not know how to create gifs) but am not sure how to embed it onto the PDF.
USER TESTING UPDATE: I am still awaiting the completed book from two of my users, (one is out of state) and the other had not fully completed it yet, but I did include what little documentation I currently have in my Brand Guidelines---but it currently has place-holder text until I have my final results from my users.
With reference to the module content and readings, how might your thesis project become a product or service that you could exploit for a non-profit or for-profit purpose?
I feel that my Thesis is something that many children could become excited about and help to ease their stress when they move to a new location. I came up with the idea for my thesis after watching so many children in my school district through the years move and then come back either because they came from broken homes or because their parents made them relocate because of a new job, and many of them had a difficult time transitioning--so this was something I thought could help alleviate their stress.
