Thesis 2 Module 10
Steps for this Module
In this module, you will continue to work on your second deliverable for this class. Integrate the results of user testing into your refinements. A report on your user testing results is due by the end of Module 12. In preparation, we will look at some examples and discuss how to generate this report.
REFLECTION:
•Describe your design process in this module with the second deliverable.
For my second deliverable, I changed the background to orange for the login screens and decreased the size of the patterns in hopes of making this a bit more fun to look at. Also, I added new icons for all sections on the user selection page and added orange buttons to each of the screens. For next week, I plan to add the "home page" for the settings screen and profile page.
Give us an update on the progress of your user testing.
As of present, I have printed out two booklets and mailed off one to a friend who will document the interaction with photographs and report the information to me. I went to Staples and found that the booklet had been printed incorrectly, so I had to wait for a second copy and was not pleased because they were unable to print to the edge of the page, thus leaving a small margin around each page. For the binding, I decided to use staples since it was cheaper, but I plan to have it spiral-bound when completed and also will be using a professional site (Blurb) for the final submission.
Describe the most useful and interesting things you have learned in this module.
The most useful information I gathered in this Module was that I will have to increase the opacity of a portion of my type in my booklet because it printed too light. In addition to this, I now know that I want the book to be spiral-bound and will continue to use heavier grade paper so there are no issues with ink bleeding through during user testing.
