ASSIGNMENT: VISUAL SYSTEM

VISUAL SYSTEM

Choose Deliverable 1, 2, or 4 and select an item from it to begin prototyping and testing your brand and visual system. Start with some sketches then move to rough computer drafts. You must have this chosen piece of the deliverable successfully completed by the end of class.

TASK FLOWS

Create task flows that document the major functionality of the product. There is no minimum or maximum number of task flows. Just pick the most important functions that best display how the product works.

REFLECTION: This week I concentrated on getting a decent start on my first deliverable, which is going to be an interactive book that will be broken into four different sections. For the scope of this class, I plan to complete only the first section which is an adventure story to help motivate children about their upcoming move. In addition to this, I also continued with experimenting on a poster series which currently I have only two of the five completed—the third I have on my style sheet, but I did not want to include it because I still have several things I need to work out. In addition to that, I created a rough sketch of my user flow for the first three elements of my task flow, but again, did not want to get as detailed as the module suggested because I am still unsure of the final outcome. Currently, my user flow is comprised of the login, profile, activity log, and gallery--for each of these elements I added editing features for the user. I finally completed my logo and logo mark and am confident and excited about continuing to work on my layout design for my interactive book.
